Position Title: Manufacturing Planner Department:Supply Chain Reporting to: Planning Manager Position Summary The Manufacturing Planner (Semi-Finished) is responsible for the efficient and successful scheduling of Day-to-Day manufacturing Operations of the site. Duties and Responsibilities Key duties and responsibilities may include: Operational: The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain planning team to ensure all demand is scheduled and produced in a timely manner to satisfy all customer demands whilst optimizing Machine and Resource Capacity. Identify short to mid-term SF supply requirements through analysis of the FP plan and on hand SF inventory. Prepare and issue Compression and Coating plan to ensure continuity of supply to the FP plan. Prepare and issue Weighing & Granulation plan to support continuity of supply to the Compression and Coating plan. Issue weekly targets and track adherence to plan for both C&C and W&G plans. Prepare and issue Service Rate data ensuring timely communication of any potential SF shortages to the Senior Manufacturing Planner and the FP planning team. Support PND10 (Completion Leadtime) KPI through adherence to SF manufacturing lead time and SF dwell time targets. Work collaboratively with the Senior Manufacturing Planner and internal suppliers to ensure that all capacity consuming intervention requirements are gathered and understood. Ensure that agreed interventions are incorporated into the fine schedule and communicate to all stakeholders. Identify and escalate any potential risk of scrap and ensure that agreed preventative/mitigating actions are implemented. Teamwork: Work co-operatively and flexibly both within your department and with other departments. Be prepared to undertake additional tasks as requested to meet operational or business requirements. Health, Safety, Environment & Quality: Observe all GMP, safety & environmental requirements. Emphasize these standards / norms to visitors and request that they adhere to them. Other Duties: Partake in any in-house or external training deemed to be necessary or enhancing for the carrying out of your function and the development of your role within the Company. Participate in cross departmental working groups / project teams as may be requested from time to time. Position Requirements: Essential: Minimum of five years experience in a planning capacity Strong attention to detail with demonstrated analytical skills and strong IT skills essential for example, high competency level with MS Excel (Advanced) Strong communicator with a proven track record of working well in a team-based environment both within function and across site. Ability to prioritize. Flexible and adaptable and should thrive on multiple priorities and changing requirements. Self-motivated Desirable: Knowledge of JD Edwards or another MRP.
