Overview
Audit Senior – Asset Management at Grant Thornton Ireland.
Our Audit & Assurance practice is growing, expanding our Asset Management capability across Funds, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Structured Finance, and SPVs.
This role offers exposure to diverse industries and collaboration with clients across local markets and international financial centres.
We are looking for passionate, driven individuals who are self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing the planning, execution, and delivery of audit engagements across a diverse client base.
This position is part of expanding Financial Services Audit to meet evolving client needs.

Main Responsibilities
Assist in planning and executing audit engagements, including risk assessment, audit program development, and fieldwork.
Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with professional standards and firm policies.
Supervise junior audit staff, providing direction, support, and guidance throughout the audit process.
Review work completed by team members for accuracy and completeness and provide constructive feedback.
Act as a point of contact for clients during audit engagements, addressing inquiries and providing updates on audit progress.
Ensure audit documentation and reports meet firm standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of auditing standards and regulations.
Support the development and mentoring of junior team members through on-the-job training and coaching.
Skills and Attributes
Minimum 3 years' experience required
Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA or similar qualification)
Strong technical skills (Irish GAAP, Auditing standards, IFRS)
Strong experience in audit engagements
Experience with a diverse portfolio of clients
Ability to work on own initiative
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
Qualifications
Relevant professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years of audit experience, primarily in asset management or financial services sectors would be advantageous
