Job Title: Project Manager – R&DLocation: Shannon, Co.Clare, IrelandDepartment: Engineering R&DReports To: Program Manager R&DJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent, OnsiteCompany OverviewEmploying over **** people worldwide, the company is headquartered in Shannon, Ireland, occupying a campus where all key manufacturing, R&D and commercial functions are located.Overseas sales and marketing subsidiaries are located in the UK, Germany, France, Australia and the USA.We are a leading Irish electronics product development company specialising in the design and manufacture of high-performance life safety electronic products.Our innovation-driven culture supports the development of reliable, standards-compliant solutions for mission-critical applications.As a global leader in the industry, Ei Electronics is now at the forefront of emerging Cloud-based "Connected Home" and IOT developments.As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in delivering complex electronic products from concept through to production.Role OverviewThe Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of multiple product development projects, managing schedules, risks, budgets, and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver on-time and within scope.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in structured project management methodologies and will use an established project management framework and gate review process to guide product development activities.This role requires a solid understanding of the development of electronic hardware, embedded firmware, mechanical design, cloud data communications protocols, and test lab validation processes.The successful candidate will be a motivated team leader, able to coordinate technical teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead cross-functional project teams across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain disciplines.Apply structured project management practices including planning, scheduling, risk management, issue tracking, resource allocation, and budget control.Use and enforce the company's gate review process to drive project delivery and ensure stage-gate compliance.Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.Facilitate communication between engineering teams and internal manufacturing partners, including test engineering and new product introduction (NPI).Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate change control processes.Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards relevant to life safety products.Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and tools.Required Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5 years' experience in a project management role, ideally in electronics product development.3rd level qualification (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Engineering, Science, or Technology discipline.Formal project management qualification (e.g. PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) – PMP certification preferred.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable.Proven experience in managing cross-functional product development projects using structured methodologies.Familiarity with the following development domains is strongly desired:Electronic hardware design and development.Embedded firmware and software.Mechanical product design.Cloud communication protocols and IoT data platforms.Laboratory validation, testing, and certification processes.Desirable Skills and AttributesExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work on multiple projects and manage competing priorities.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., life safety, medical, industrial controls).Proficient with project management tools such as MS Project, Monday.com, Teamwork.com, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.What We OfferOpportunity to work on innovative life safety technologies with real-world impact.Collaborative and supportive team environment.Continuous professional development opportunities.Competitive salary and benefits package (bonus scheme, health insurance, on-site gym, on-site restaurant).How to apply:Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their CV and a cover letter outlining their suitability for the role to ******Ei Electronics is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.#J-*****-Ljbffr
