exposure to projects, responsibility and real engineering experience to maximise your talents as an engineer.PositionThe Role....We are looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to join our Water design team.The successful candidate will join a growing team with senior support and will have the opportunity as their career progresses to acquire a broad range of skills and experience in design and project management.The role will provide you with essential engineering, communications and project delivery skills which are transferrable across any engineering project.The following are examples of the types of project work that the Senior Design Engineer will have the opportunity to work on:Lead and deliver mechanical design across a range of water sector projects typically including municipal water and wastewater pumping stations and treatment plantsWork within a design team including Mechanical, Process, Civil, E&I, CP and drafting team membersCollaborate and plan design work and deliverables together with wider process MEICA teamDesign from conceptual phase through to project completionDevelopment of Preliminary and Detailed Design reports, calculations and drawingsMentoring mechanical engineers promoting knowledge-sharing and team development in design in the water infrastructureDevelopment and technical assurance of design including use of relevant software packages such as SUMO, WAVE, AFT or equivalentProducing design drawings, mechanical plant selection, technical specifications and P&ID'sPreparing and checking design of mechanical installationsProducing hydraulic calculations for gravity and pumped systems including pumping system analysis / pump selectionManage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to meet agreed targetsEnsuring all designs are completed in accordance with the relevant standards and specificationsEnsuring all designs comply with all applicable Health and Safety standards and regulationsAttending progress meetings with our Water design team, clients, contractors & suppliersAs the engineer's career progresses, they will be afforded opportunity to experience all aspects of project delivery and other areas of the business.The location for this role will be in our Dublin office, however we will also consider applications for our Kilkenny office.RequirementsThe Candidate....The ideal candidate will have:Engineering degree (Honours bachelor's degree or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or similar discipline relevant to the specification above7+ years post-graduate experienceExcellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft OfficeFamiliar with AutoCAD 'Plant 3D' modellingGood academic recordFull clean driving license and own transport requiredFluent written and spoken English is essentialExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a teamOther informationWhat we offer....An
