Armoury cafe Glencree, Eircode A98D635 is looking to hire a Full time kitchen assistant to assist our Chef with preparing the items on our menu for service, ingredient preparation as well as perform all washing and cleaning duties required in the kitchen.To be successful as a kitchen assistant, you should exercise exceptional time management and ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner.The Kitchen Assistant should be able to comply with all food health and safety regulations.Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities:Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.Assisting the Chef with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.Promptly transferring meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the Chefs instructions.· assisting with waste management and stock control,· clearing refrigerators, freezers, and storage rooms,Kitchen Assistant Requirements:HACCP certified, (but this can be provided)Proven experience assisting in kitchens.Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.The ability to stand for extended periods.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.The ability to work in a team.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Effective communication skills.· This post will involve weekend work, Wednesday to Sunday with rostering over a 7-day period during Spring and summer.For events and catering for groups etc it may be necessary to be flexible working evenings and nights when required..Along with our café we often cater for groups, activities, exhibitions, meetings, and special events here in this stunning location,· Starting Rate is €***** per hour .We are a social enterprise project supported by the Department of Rural and Community Development and Pobal through the Community Services Programme.Candidates must be, for example, long term unemployed, of refugee status, etc persons generally looking to get back in to the workforceJob Types: Full time, Transportation from Enniskerry to and from work included if necessary, own transport is desired.Job Type: Full-timePay: €***** per hourBenefits:Company eventsFood allowanceOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Glencree Enniskerry, Bray, CO.Wicklow A98 D635: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)Work Location: In person
