Tax Trainee

Purpose Our client is seeking a Tax Trainee to join their successful and expanding Tax Department. The role will initially focus on tax compliance work with the opportunity to work on consultancy projects. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of Income Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT, CGT and other revenue returns Monitor compliance lists to ensure deadlines are met Communicate with clients and Revenue Liaise with other departments on tax compliance and related matters Work closely with the tax team and assist senior staff with tax related research Conduct any other duties or tasks associated with role Planning for and maintaining all study requirements Ensure work is carried out in a professional and timely manner in line with company values in order to assist in meeting client expectations Requirements Recent graduate from business, law or accounting or a part qualified accountant/part qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) Be willing to complete the Irish Tax Institute CTA exams Knowledge of the administration of the Irish Tax System would be an advantage. Have a keen interest in pursuing a career in tax Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Have strong organisation and communication skills Be capable of developing and managing client relationships. Ability to multi-task and work to strict deadlines Great team working skills and an ability to show flexibility when faced with new challenges.
