Job Description:
The Hardware Design Engineer should have experience in the following areas:
Low-power circuit design, DC/DC converters, power management methods, analogue design, and mixed-signal board-level design.
Processor architecture, digital circuit design, and embedded systems.
Sourcing, evaluating, and selecting components for designs.
Communication protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB.
RF technology, including antenna design, impedance matching, and RF circuit tuning at frequencies like 345MHz, 433MHz, 868MHz, 2.4GHz.
Integrating RF technologies such as Zigbee, Zwave, WiFi, Bluetooth.
Leading design development from schematic capture, PCB layout, assembly, to validation.
Designing for ESD/EMI immunity and RF de-sensitisation.
Partnering with software teams to define and implement firmware, drivers, and algorithms.
Additional Requirements:
Honours degree or postgraduate qualification in Electronic Engineering.
6+ years of experience in consumer product design, including circuit design, component engineering, integration, embedded systems, and debugging.
Strong leadership and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent documentation skills and ability to work independently.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, including DFM and DFT for consumer products.
Good knowledge of technical concepts related to product and process development.
