Limerick, Ireland | Posted on 10/07/2025Industry Pharma/Biotech/Clinical ResearchCity LimerickState/Province LimerickCountry IrelandJob DescriptionPSC Biotech is seeking aBioprocess Engineerto join our client's team in Limerick.This role provides bothtechnical process design supportfor bioprocess systems on new CAPEX projects andongoing operational supportfor commercial manufacturing processes.Key ResponsibilitiesCAPEX / Project Support: Generate User Requirement Specifications (URS) for assigned systems.Review and approve Basis of Design (BOD) and detail design of assigned systems i.e. PFDs, P&IDs, etc.Ensure procurement packages (bill of materials, datasheets, cutsheets, etc.) meet equipment specifications.Track HAZOP action items and ensure action items are incorporated into system design.Attend 30%, 60% and 90% model reviews to ensure systems meet operational, safety and ergonomic requirements.Review and approve system lifecycle documentation (FDS, SDS, IO lists, etc.) and ensure they meet requirements.Attend factory acceptance test (FAT) of associated equipment if required.Supervise and execute Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commissioning activities.Generate FAT, SAT and commissioning protocols for assigned equipment and ensure protocols meet specifications.Ensure Vendor Document Requirements (VDR) meet requirements.Build Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks and spare parts lists in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).RequirementsRequires BS/BEng in Chemical, Process or Mechanical engineering with 3-5 years related experience.Direct experience with biopharmaceutical process equipment is preferred.May substitute relevant experience for education.Experience with design and commissioning within the biopharmaceutical sector would be desirable.Experience with DeltaV would be desirable.#J-*****-Ljbffr
