Sheet Metal Fabricator

Duffy Coachbodies Dundalk, Irelands premier manufacturer of Hearses and Limousine for the domestic and export market have an immediate opportunity for experienced Sheet Metal Fabricators / Welders to join the team in our Automotive manufacturing facility.The role will initially consist of the fabrication, fitting and shaping of components on specialist vehicles.Assembly to meet strict quality requirements and making adjustments as required to enable the next operators to proceed with their work.MIG and TIG welding processes are utilised, with welding of mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel.Spot welding of mild steel is also carried out along with laser welding of Aluminium.While experience of mig welding mild steel is a necessity in house training will be provided in other areas.Duties will also extend to supporting other departments in areas as required to maintain limousine and hearse production rates.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the relevant metal working processes and MIG welding skills.Manual handling certificate and abrasive wheels certificate an advantage.Tube/pipe rolling and forming is an advantage.Experience in the Automotive sector is an advantage.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From €***** per hourExpected hours: 39 per weekBenefits:Bike to work schemeOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Dundalk: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)Experience:Welding: 2 years (preferred)Work Location: In person
