About The Veterinary Hospital
ThisVeterinary Hospital is a well-established mixed practice located in the scenic County Wexford, Ireland.
They are a dedicated team of experienced professionals providing high-quality veterinary care to their valued clients and their animals.
Their state-of-the-art facility includes two examination rooms, a modern operating theatre, a dedicated prep room, and a separate large animal examination unit.
We are equipped with advanced diagnostic tools such as radiography, dentistry facilities, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory equipment.
The Role
We are seeking two passionate and highly motivated Veterinary Surgeons to join a growing team.
One Mixed Animal Role:
Experience in both small and large animal practice is essential, with a strong emphasis on routine surgery (e.g., calving, sections).
One Small Animal Role:
Experience in routine small animal surgery (e.g., dog spays, lump removals) is required.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality veterinary care to a diverse range of animals, including dogs, cats, farm animals, and horses.
Perform routine and emergency surgeries.
Diagnose and treat medical conditions.
Advise clients on animal health and husbandry.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Participate in on-call duties (1 weeknight and 1 in 6 weekends).
VCI/RCVS registered or eligible to register with the VCI.
Proven experience in first opinion practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong surgical skills within your respective discipline.
A commitment to providing the highest standard of patient care.
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to professional development.
Competitive Salary:
Up to 80,000 commensurate with experience.
