Avolon is one of the leading global aircraft leasing firms providing lease and lease management services to airlines and aircraft investors worldwide.We're looking for someone who has a natural flare for numbers, someone who has a strong understanding of management accounts, including profit and loss and the balance sheet and interpreting data.Avolon is a bright and energetic place to work with our new state of the art offices located at Number One Ballsbridge.At Avolon, we are passionate about what we do and more importantly, how we do it.We boldly use our values of Transparency, Respect, Insightfulness, Bravery and Ebullience (TRIBE) to inform how we interact professionally and personally every day.This is what sets Avolon apart as a great place to work.The Role:Reporting to the Head of Tax, this role based in our Dublin office will be responsible for direct and indirect tax filings for multiple jurisdictions, tax reporting for consolidated and standalone financial statements and supporting teams in relation to transactions as needed.Key Responsibilities:Analyzing tax laws in relevant countries to identify tax risks and opportunities.Participating in various compliance and advisory projects with other members of the tax, finance and legal teams.Assisting with certain lessee tax requirements e.g. beneficial ownership documents etc.Liaising with the Irish tax authorities on all documentary requirements such as residence certificates, tax registrations etc.Preparation of FATCA and CRS forms.Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on the delivery of month-end and quarter-end close activities.Identifying tax efficiencies and planning opportunities and ensure implementation of same.Driving continuous improvement within the team.Ad-hoc work as required by the Tax team.The Person:The successful candidate should be curious and questioning.They should build robust solutions through gathering data and obtaining feedback.They should remain up to date with role-related technical developments.The successful candidate will manage, prioritise, track and deliver tasks for themselves and their team.They will also be proactive about change, striving for continuous improvement, using their outstanding communication skills to recognise alternative perspectives.They will maximise information flow across the organisation by working across teams.Essential Skills and Experience:Fully Qualified in at least one of ACA, ACCA and AITI.Directly relevant PQE in a big 4 tax practice or industry.Significant direct and indirect tax experience in multiple jurisdictions.A solid understanding of international tax issues for aircraft leasing and general corporate transactions.Proven ability to problem-solve within tight deadlines.Capable of working to tight deadlines and under own initiative.Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.Experience using Alphatax – tax compliance, provision and report functions.Exposure to numerous tax regimes.Closing Date:The closing date for applications for the role listed above isCOB Friday 14th February.Avolon is an equal opportunities employer, which cultivates opinion, listens to all views with respect, recognises people based on their merits without bias and embraces diversity.#J-*****-Ljbffr
