Location:Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandEarnings:Competitive - dependent on experienceONNEC Group are a leading independent technology partner and global integrator, with over 30 years experience, and a 800+ team of global experts, specialising in providing end-to-end connectivity solutions that propel organisations everywhere.From structured cabling to managed services, our end-to-end services give infrastructure that can be completely replied on.Design.Build.Deploy.Optimise.We offer a complete solution for business connectivity.We are a rapidly growing organisation and finding and retaining the highest calibre of people is fundamental to us for the success of our business, we work hard to create a challenging, supportive and satisfying working environment for all our employees.ONNEC has successfully achieved the Investors in Diversity Silver Award for our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team, reporting to our Network Solutions Engineering Lead.This role will involve meeting client requirements in regards installations and upgrades of network equipment both remotely and in person at client sites throughout Ireland.Due to client requirements, this role will require flexibility in regards hours of work, location and will require on-call rota availability.What you'll be doing as our Senior Network Engineer:Network planning and designInstallation and configuration of complex networksDesigning security solutions based on Fortinet product portfolio.Configuring complex firewall solutions and updating security systems to protect communications and dataA go to person for Advanced Troubleshooting, other team members will be seeking help from a senior engineer who specializes in specific areas of networkingDesigning and implementing a disaster recovery processMaintaining present information and understanding networking and security best practices to provide the optimum protection and solutions for our client's systems.Creating and maintaining network documentationSupervising network implementationsWorking with Account Managers in providing technical presales to customersContribute to delivering technical excellence with the IT teamWhat we're looking for in our Senior Network Engineer:Must have excellent knowledge in networking and securityMust be familiar with tools like Iris, Wireshark, VisioMust have a deep understanding of dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.)Candidate should have advanced knowledge of networking stack on various operating systems (Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Chrome OS, Apple OS)Must have experience working with firewalls and understand advanced treat protection and how to implement itShould have experience in designing networks, firewall solutions and Wi-Fi solutionsIdeal candidate should have good knowledge of HPE Aruba, Fortinet and Cisco product ranges.Candidate should have good organizational skillsCandidate should be flexible, open to work after normal working hours and be available to be on callThis role requires collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, with communication remotely and in person.Ability to work both on own initiative and as part of team is crucial.Driving Licence required to visit client premises.If you feel you have the required skills and experience, clickapplynow to be considered as ourSeniorNetwork Engineer– we'd love to hear from you#J-*****-Ljbffr
