Our client, a leading design consultancy specializing in commercial, residential, and healthcare projects across the UK and Ireland, is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in Galway.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead significant projects and shape the design of innovative and sustainable mechanical systems for a wide range of sectors.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take the lead on the mechanical design for large-scale commercial, residential, and healthcare projects, from initial concept to final delivery.
You will manage the design process, ensuring all mechanical systems are designed to the highest industry standards, meet regulatory requirements, and are delivered on time and within budget.
You will collaborate closely with architects, other engineering disciplines, and key stakeholders to deliver integrated and efficient solutions.
Additionally, you will mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence within the team.
To excel in this role, you should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience working on commercial, residential, or healthcare projects.
Strong technical skills in mechanical system design, including HVAC, plumbing, and energy-efficient solutions, are essential.
You should be proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
Excellent communication and project management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, are crucial.
Chartered Engineer status or progress towards it will be highly valued.
