Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a Clerical Officer to join their team in the Laois area. Working 35 hours per week the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €15.89 per hour based on an annualised salary of €29,020. This role may include shift work, nights and weekends which in turn will include further premium payments. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: This post encompasses administrative responsibilities which include, but is not limited to the following: Dealing with the public Preparation, checking & processing of data Processing information Clerical assistance Maintaining / updating records as required Word processing / typing including audio typing Correspondence management Minute taking Reception duties Preparation of reports often to tight deadlines Any other administrative support as requested Any other duties that may be assigned Essential Criteria: Previous high-level clerical/administration experience supporting a busy department/team is required. Must have excellent IT and MS Office skills particularly in Excel and Access. Must have excellent data processing and attention to detail skills. Must have planning, organising and diary management skills. Experience in the day-to-day operations of data in various formats. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word. Plan and organise work effectively. Address priority issues and ensure the operation runs efficiently and effectively. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
