As an international business we also have opportunities available in the UK.About UsMurphy is a leading global, specialist engineering and construction company founded in **** that improves life by delivering world-class infrastructure.Operating in Ireland, the United Kingdom and North America, we provide better engineered solutions to infrastructure sectors including Transportation, Water, Power, Natural Resources, and Construction & Property.Murphy employs around 4,000 engineers, professional managers and skilled operatives around the world.Together, we work as 'One Murphy' by directly delivering the people, plant and expertise needed to make projects a success.The Role:Murphy are hiring graduate electrical engineers to work alongside our experienced site engineers across multi discipline construction projects from large scale civils, rail, water, oil & gas and electricity upgrade projects as part of the green energy transition across Ireland.The graduate scheme offers both technical and soft skills courses to help your professional development and growth as a electrical engineer.Murphy are committed to developing our Engineers and our CPD Programme is accredited by Engineers Ireland.Key Responsibilities and DutiesAccurate setting out of the works and dimensional control.Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems.Assist with resolving technical problems at all levels.Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works.Formally request any missing information in sufficient time to allow the programme to proceed without delay.Carry out inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan.The production of survey information and red – lined drawings for the completion of the As-built records.Ensuring activities are carried out in safe manner in accordance with the Project Safety Plan.Accurate maintenance of Quality Management System records.Ensure equipment is calibrated, in date and suitable checked in accordance with company policies and the manufacturers' defined requirements.Ensure the site diary is accurately maintained noting against each record the date, location and serial number of equipment used.Informing senior management of any non-conformances or poor workmanship.Ensure all site personnel have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties.Close liaison with the Site Foreman/Supervisor and Works Managers.Assist with the co-ordination and supervision of Sub-contractors in the performance of the Works.Ensure that only the latest issue drawings and documents are being used.Ensure all materials on site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer's recommendations current working practice, contract specification or project requirements.Assist the Site Management team to update KPI's, material reconciliation and progress reports.Assist QS with site quantities and measures for monthly valuations.Collaborate with senior engineers to design electrical systems, circuits, for various projects.Conduct analysis and simulations to ensure the functionality and safety.Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for electrical systems.Maintain accurate records and update design documents, as necessary.Entry RequirementsDegree in Electrical Engineering (or set to graduate by Sept ****)SKILLS / EXPERIENCEConstruction Experience (desirable)Problem solving skillsPersonal ownership your developmentTeam working skillsComputer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelAbove all, we need people who will adopt our values and strive to live them:One Family, One Team, One MurphyAlways DeliverRespect, Integrity & AccountabilityNever HarmContinually ImproveAdditional RequirementsYou need a full Irish driving licence due to the locations of projects.Eligible to work in the Ireland with a valid work permit if applicable.Please note, we do not provide sponsorship.To provide you with the best development opportunities we may ask you to work away from your home location within the Ireland during your 2-year programme.Our Recruitment ProcessOur recruitment process consists of three stages:Application including a CVOnline interviewIn-person assessment centre (which start from February 26)What Murphy Ireland offer in returnCompetitive salary and benefitsDiscretionary annual bonus and annual salary reviewAbove market rate contributory pension scheme available from day one27 days annual leave per annum.Holidays also increase with serviceGenerous Private Healthcare AllowanceDedicated and continued investment in your professional development.Other Murphy benefits include retail discounts, cycle to work scheme etcMurphy International Limited is unable to employ anyone who does not have the legal right to live and work in Ireland.If you have any queries, please email
