Main purpose of the role:
Responsible for preparing high-quality hot and cold deli products and ensuring customer satisfaction is the top priority.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
HACCP training is desirable but not necessary
Previous customer service experience is an advantage
The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and to multi-task under pressure
A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers
Main duties:
Live the Centra brand values: Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based
Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas, including making sandwiches and rolls, hot food, and slicing meats using store portion control measures
Cook, prepare, and display foods sold throughout the day
Maintain high standards for counter displays across all fresh food departments throughout the day
Share knowledge, recipes, and personal recommendations to demonstrate your passion for quality food
Handle all customer queries efficiently, professionally, and in line with store policy
About the locality:
Breens Centra Donnybrook is seeking a full-time or part-time Deli Assistant to join our team.
Experience is preferable but not essential, as full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Flexible working hours are available, and two part-time positions may be considered to fill this vacancy.
Shift examples include: 7am - 3pm, 8am - 4pm, 9am - 2pm / 9.30am - 2pm.
Shifts are scheduled Monday to Sunday, with full-time roles requiring 5 over 7 days, and part-time roles 3 to 4 days over 7 days.
This position is not suitable for candidates in full-time education or planning to return to full-time education, as it is a permanent full-time or part-time role.
