DescriptionThe Gallery wishes to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis.This role sits within the Finance Department and plays a pivotal role in supporting the commercial activities of the Gallery.The Finance Business Partner plays a key strategic role working closely with the Head of Finance & Systems and the Commercial Manager.This post will be suited to a qualified accountant with public sector experience who has a proven ability to collaborate across functions, an attention to detail and meet deadlines.Reporting to the Head of Finance & Systems, the Finance Business Partner will:Prepare monthly management accounts for Own Resource (Commercial) company of the GalleryDrive commercial performance by measuring efficiencies, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing resource allocationLead annual budgeting processes for the commercial activities of the GalleryMonitor performance against budgetsSupport for internal audits and external audit by the Comptroller and Auditor GeneralManage the commercial revenue streams with the Commercial Manager and Head of Audience development and Stakeholder engagementManage all commercial cost centres on a monthly basisManage the Cashier and the Shop Finance AdministratorThe successful candidate will have:A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) with a number of years spent working in a finance function in a public sector environmentExcellent stakeholder management skills, with an ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders across different departments, challenging and supporting them constructively to achieve common goals.Experience in ensure expenditure to public sector spending codes, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.Demonstrable experience in a finance business partnering role and knowledge of the public sector environment is preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to extract, correlate, and interpret data.High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and various financial systems like Sage and Integra.Excellent communication skills to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely to both SalaryThe salary for this position will be in accordance with the Engineer Grade II & Professional Accountant Grade II (PPC) pay scale, as per the 1 August **** pay adjustments.The salary scale for this position is as follows:· The starting salary will be at the first point on the scale, €74,701 per annum, or on a higher point of the scale, as appropriate to the successful candidate, if appointed from an existing public sector role (in accordance with Circular *******).· Candidates should note the National Gallery of Ireland complies with Department of Public Expenditure and Reform regulations and guidelines on Public Service pay and conditions of employment.Annual Leave:The successful candidate will be entitled to 27 days of annual leave pro rataSuperannuation:The successful candidate will be placed on thepublic sector pension scheme.Benefits:The Gallery provides staff the opportunity to participate in the tax saver and cycle to work schemes.Duration:PermanentWorking
