Cork, County Cork, Ireland Operations and Supply ChainImagine what you could do here.At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly.Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish.Collaboration is important at Apple, and every day you will connect with and be supported by your peers and colleagues at one of the most diverse and inclusive companies in the worldAs an individual, you will have responsibility for working to our continued success and be a key player within your job function.We support and promote career development throughout the organisation, offering an exciting career with many opportunities to enable you perfect your existing skills - and acquire new ones.We're looking for a skilled a Global Sourcing and Supply Manager (GSSM) to work on strategic sourcing and planning, long term deal structuring and negotiation.In this role, you will work with procurement, finance and legal teams and also third-party suppliers.Position requires strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.As a Global Sourcing and Supply Manager, you are positioned at the interface of Apple's product teams, and the industries that supply core technologies.We are responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, as well as recommending product innovations based on improving technology.You'll bring a keen curiosity about market dynamics, settling deals, pricing, processes and risk mitigation.As part of the wider team, we drive centralised capacity planning for Apple products, driving long term strategic deals.DescriptionDevelop a nuanced understanding of the logistics landscape, to better forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competition influence.Identify changes in shipping and use industry dynamics to Apple's advantage.Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals.Manage positive, effective relationships with suppliers to secure best-in-class terms for sourcing.Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality to strike agreements that meet Apple's performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.Collaborate across the Apple organization to ensure business objectives are met.Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy.Optimize supply chain performance through cost and capacity scenario analysis, and benchmarking.Develop an in-depth understanding of logistics costs and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence Apple's future roadmap and sourcing decisions.Provide overall program management support and contribute to ongoing development of processes, templates, critical issue procedures, and reporting.ResponsibilitiesWillingness to travel internationally up to 30%Minimum QualificationsExperience working in freight forwarding (preferably operations and/or procurement) with a detailed knowledge of Air and/or Ocean logistics.Outstanding analytical and operational/mediation skillsStrong Excel and presentation skillsPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with the EMEIA logistics spaceExperience working for an air freight (specifically cargo) as well as bulk freight and small parcelUnderstanding of the customs clearance processTenacity, passion and proven negotiation skillsAbility to operate independently and lead without authorityAbility to identify and solve multi-layered supply chain issuesDrafting standard commercial contracts in partnership with legalDemonstrated experience in driving autonomous decisionsLeading executive communicationsWe will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.Please contact us to request accommodation.#J-*****-Ljbffr
