Data Analyst 2 – Dublin / Ireland or LetterkennyOptum is a global organisation that delivers care, aided by technology to help millions of people live healthier lives.The work you do with our team will directly improve health outcomes by connecting people with the care, pharmacy benefits, data and resources they need to feel their best.Here, you will find a culture guided by diversity and inclusion, talented peers, comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.Come make an impact on the communities we serve as you help us advance health equity on a global scale.Join us to start Caring.Connecting.Growing together.As a member of the Ireland Rx Data Analytics team you will collaborate with and support business customers to utilize data-driven solutions, driving detailed insights and automation.The Data Analyst will be responsible for effective drug pricing within our client and pharmacy networks to meet contract guarantees through financial and network pricing modeling, analysis and reporting.To complete this effort, they will leverage data to interpret key business performance metrics.The Data Analyst should develop and build their knowledge of the US healthcare system and specific business customers domains to identify gaps and surface value add opportunities.This role will also collaborate with peer teams within the wider Data Analytics organization, driving and contributing to continuous customer success improvement initiatives.Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.Primary Responsibilities of the Data Analyst 2:Demonstrate strong analytical skills by understanding complex problems, breaking them down into manageable components, and applying analytical techniques to find effective solutionsWork alongside other data analysts to implement pricing models, including data ingestion and preparation, analysis and modelling, performance tracking and documentationSet effective drug pricing within our client and pharmacy networks to meet contract guarantees through financial and network pricing modeling, analysis and reportingBuild automated processes to support key decision making.Identify new ways of automation and streamlining business processesConduct analyses to identify trends and patterns.Perform root cause analyses to explain deviations from forecasts and recommend opportunities for improvementDevelop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present findings clearly and effectivelyEnsure data integrity and accuracy by implementing rigorous quality control measuresEfficiently deliver on ad-hoc analysis requests from a wide range of stakeholdersCreate and contribute to technical documentation that describes analytics methodologies and modelling designs, including data validation approachesYou will be rewarded and recognised for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications of the Data Analyst 2:Bachelor's degree (BSc) or equivalent experienceExperience analyzing data to develop business insightsSQL programming with the ability to perform efficient querying with multiple tables and subqueriesExperience in scripting languages like PythonExperience building and maintaining ETL pipelinesPreferred Qualifications of the Data Analyst 2:Experience with Public Cloud technologies such as Databricks, AzureFamiliarity with Data visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau)Soft Skills of the Data Analyst 2:Quantitative mindset and ability to understand complex processes and strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilitiesAbility to own solution delivery with strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skillsApplies a detail-oriented approach to ensure data integrity and flawless executionRelationship management abilities and proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple teamsGood verbal and written communication skills;
