Evening Dispatch Manager

DescriptionTo ensure the supply of goods meet the needs of Barry Group customers by ensuring the loading team are efficiently loading trucks and trailers and recording feedback.General SummaryThis role requires you to handle goods/stock in a manner that will improve the company's efficiency, help achieve the company's mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service.The work involves handling stock through the supply chain, liaising with the Transport operation to ensure timely loading of all orders for delivery as per the daily schedule.You will be coordinating work between the delivery drivers, customers and your team so reliability, problem solving ability and prioritising customer service are crucial for this role.Reporting to:Transport ManagerShift:Sunday to ThursdayGeneral Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage loading team in day-to-day operations.Deal with all Customer Orders, checking quality.Manage the 'Shunt' of trailers to the loading Bays in the yard.Ensure all pallets are wrapped, labelled and sealed before they are dispatched.Manage the loading of the transport trucks in a safe efficient manner in line with company procedure.Be aware of HACCP requirements and ensure that they are fulfilled (Cleaning Policy).Carry out the company's waste management policy i.e. Cardboard and plastic to be bailed.Comply with all Health & Safety procedures.To manage in the overall area of our Despatch Loading Department.To assist in any ad-hoc duties where necessary.The work involves responsibility for interpreting and implementing the rules, regulations and policies as defined by the company on an ongoing basis.The Successful Candidates Should HavePrevious management experience in a Distribution Centre.The ideal candidate would have functional, hands-on experience in a similar environment.A self-motivated and enthusiastic disposition.Will possess strong interpersonal skills.A proven track record in meeting deadlines.This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis.It does not exclude other duties as assigned.BenefitsDiscounted Goods & Fuel SchemeWellbeing Programmes including Cycle to Work SchemeEducational SupportCompany pension schemeBarry Group were awarded Best Employer Certificate in ****Barry Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer
