Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerFunction: EnergyGrade: TBCDepartment: EnergyResponsible To: Electrical Engineering & Design ManagerJob Purpose: Murphy are hiring an Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing team delivering renewable energy and HV/MV substation and cables projects across Ireland.Murphy focus on recruiting and retaining our employees so that the company can continue to develop and succeed within the industry.Murphy are committed to developing our Engineers and our CPD Programme is accredited by Engineers Ireland.Murphy's commitment to safety: Never HarmDevelop knowledge in planning, managing and delivering works in a safe, controlled and environmentally sustainable manner.Ensure a strong culture for Never Harm is present on the project; actively promote engagement with the CDP programme.Ensure risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed regularly.Carry out all work in accordance with health and safety and any other legal requirementsKey Responsibilities and DutiesDesign HV/MV substations and control/protection systemsProduce drawings: SLDs, layouts, schematicsDetailed design covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systemsPreparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentationEnsure compliance with design standards and client requirementsCoordinate with internal teams and external stakeholdersComplying with specific project safety requirementsAssist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue.Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.Prepare method statements and risk assessments.Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control.Resolving technical problems at all levels.Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceDegree in Electrical Engineering1+ years' experience working as an Electrical Engineer (desirable)Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCADGood technical capabilities, teamwork abilities and initiative.Strong written, oral and numeracy skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
