On behalf of our client, one of Ireland's leading Waterproofing Systems Services with operations throughout Ireland and the UK, we are currently recruiting for a Field Technician. This role will involve frequent travel, with 50% of your time based in the North of England and 50% based in Ireland & Europe.

Objectives:

The Field Technician will communicate with our clients' approved contractors to ensure the waterproofing systems and components are being installed as per the specification and standards. Where upskilling is required, you will offer the necessary training to the contractor and carry this out as per recommendations.

The role will involve communication and collaboration with the Area Technical Managers within the designated area.

  1. Offer technical support to all contractors and clients.
  2. Carry out training/upskilling where required.
  3. Assist the Area Technical Manager with surveys and core sampling.
  4. Ensure the projects are installed to the specification and correct standard required to receive a guarantee.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Support the sales team with technical promotion of our complete range of products to Architects, Specifiers, Engineers, Building Surveyors, and Roofing Contractors.
  2. Manage the upkeep of site reporting within the company's CRM system.
  3. Complete Roof Condition Surveys and regular in-progress site inspections, issuing full accurate reports to relevant contractors and Area Technical Managers on time.
  4. Attend Prestart and progress meetings on major projects.
  5. Perform customer installation training, product launch demonstrations, and general technical demonstrations at trade shows.
  6. Perform staff training on the installation of existing and new product ranges.
  7. As part of the team, input and communicate to review the sales and technical support activity as an asset to grow market share.
  8. Report weekly activity to the Group Site Operations Manager.
  9. Communicate with and arrange to meet contractors for joint site inspections.
  10. Train Graduate Field Technicians across the Group.
  11. Undertake such other work as may be assigned to you by the Company from time to time.

Skills Required:

  1. Full EU/UK driving license.
  2. Valid Passport.
  3. Good communication and understanding of the geographical area to be covered.
  4. Diary planning, arrangement, and good timekeeping.
  5. Knowledge of Roofing systems including Single Ply membranes, RBM, Liquid & Hot Melt.
  6. Must be able to read and understand specifications, wind load calculations, and conditions reports.
  7. Must be able to write reports, insert photography, and use Word Document software.
  8. Must be able to communicate via email and telephone.

Pay: From €39,000.00 per year

  1. Monday to Friday
