We would like to invite applications for the following 20 hour, permanent role:.Catering Assistant/ General Canteen OperatorClontarf, Dublin.Ranked 2nd in The Irish Independent "Ireland's Best Employer ****" list.IWA is committed to promoting, maintaining, and adding to our diverse and inclusive work environment.The purpose of this role is to support the preparation and serving of meals and snacks for Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) members within the Wheelz Café.The role will focus on maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety, ensuring correct food temperatures, applying portion control, and supporting the smooth delivery of catering services to enhance the overall experience for our members..Main duties and responsibilities.Support day-to-day food preparation in line with HACCP guidelinesOperate the till and serve customers in a friendly and efficient mannerMaintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areasAssist with stock rotation and restocking suppliesProvide cover during staff absence.Work collaboratively with the team to maintain high standards of hygiene and customer serviceAdhere to all health and safety, food hygiene, and internal policies and document same.Essential Criteria.Good communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to learn and work in a teamAbility to follow food hygiene procedures (training provided)Work schedule Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm.Desirable Criteria.Previous experience in a catering or customer service roleHACCP or food safety training (can be provided)Experience working with vulnerable service users or in a social enterprise setting.Remuneration Benefits.€***** per hourExcellent working conditionsA commitment to the on-going training and development of all employeesAnnual Leave is paid at 8% of hours workedPension scheme availableEmployee Assistance Service.The closing date for applications is Tuesday 9th September ****.Documentary evidence of your relevant qualification(s) will be required in advance of or during the recruitment process.
