Because we strive to put people first.What You'll GetThe world is changing and it's important we support our colleagues.People are at the heart of what we do at Primark so it's essential we provide the right environment for you to perform at your best.That's why we offer benefits that put you first.Some of our benefits are:27 days of leave, plus bank holidays and if you want, you can buy 5 more.Flexible Working, the opportunity for an early Friday finish, and a subsidised cafeteria.Primark Perks – Discounts with some local partner businesses to our officesWhy work with us?At Primark, we know how hard everyone works to achieve our business goals.Having a competitive salary and annual bonus scheme is our way of acknowledging this.We willalso provide you with a progressive career path, because clear advancement is what we are all about at PrimarkOur flexible working benefit, Your Day Your Way, means you get to choose when to start and finish your workday.Choose to work remotely if you like, in a way that suits you but also helps us get the most out of your talents.There isa lively culture here, andit'seasy to get to know each other in a truly warm atmosphere.Job Purpose:At Primark we are looking to change the way we deliver technology changes to the systems our customers consume.To drive this change, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Enablement Lead who has a strong background in delivering this type of change in a fast-paced environment.In this role, you will oversee and optimise the way we deliver these technology changes to maximise value at minimum cost.You will be accountable for the enablement and adoption of a new set of Software Engineering and Delivery Principles to Primark.Working with the Engineering Managers, Portfolio Delivery Leads, Product Teams and System Integrators.You will be part of the Primark Engineering Practice, where we aim to enable more frequent and faster deployments, improve software quality, reduce change failure rate and improve the mean time to recover in the event of an issue occurring.You will play a critical role in Engineering & Enablement team where you will be embedding new agile ways of working and instilling best in class software engineering techniques.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for leading the design & delivery of Devops Practices, Tools, Automation and Strategies.Accountable for the enablement and management of products and services in terms of providing the tools, pipelines and guardrails through self-service and facilitating through support / coaching / incubation.Enable the engineering experience so that engineers (dev + ops) can focus on delivering high-quality products and services.Own the strategy for this area and ensure that key stakeholders are informed.Build strong relationships with both our internal senior stakeholders and key partner stakeholders to ensure a seamless software delivery capability across the Primark Technology and Business Domains.Operational accountability/responsibility for the software delivery capability, enabling multi-location and time-zone availability.Partner with Shared services as required and Drive SI & application vendors to meet and exceed expectations.Define and govern software quality and testing standards; ultimately improve software delivery and operational performance measured through industry standard metrics.Drive data management improvements and help develop appropriate tooling.Drive automation in all aspects of the SDLC.Develop a culture of awareness, accountability and compliance with regards to Security, GDPR, IT governance controls and Business continuity/Disaster recovery.Orchestrate a culture of collaboration across the organisation to ensure scalability and long-term efficiency.Pro-actively seek relevant external insight, trends and innovations to ensure Primark remains best in class within your area.Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.Demonstrate and champion pragmatism in terms of commercial delivery and software quality.Promote technology values and ways of working within the team and wider software engineering community.Knowledge & Experience Required:10+ years in Software testing and delivery with at least 5 being in the capacity as manager/leader.Cloud experience (Azure) & knowledge of MACH architecture.Experience with Testing tools and suites such as HP ALM, Octane, Atlassian JIRA & JSM, Selenium etc.Excellent people management, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skillsHigh availability, DR & BC experience an advantageExperience with CI/CD and related DevOps toolingRisk management & commercial awarenesStakeholder/Customer focused with strong communication and negotiation skillExperience of IT for IT tools such as Atlassian suite, Service now etc. an advantagExperience in enterprise grade software deployments and operationWorking understanding of scalable agile SDLCs and distributed computing setupsIT related 3rd level qualification (exceptions may be made where relevant experience compensates, and in-depth experience is demonstrated)About PrimarkAt Primark, people matter.They're the beating heart of our business and the reason we've grown from our first store in Dublin in **** to a £9bn+ turnover business and over 80,000 colleagues and over 440 stores in 17 countries today.Our values run through everything we do.In essence, we're Caring and always strive to put people first.We're also Dynamic, bravely pushing the boundaries to stay ahead.And finally, we succeed Together.If you need any reasonable adjustments or have an accessibility request, during your recruitment journey, such as extended time or breaks between online assessments, a sign language interpreter, mobility access, or assistive technology please contact your talent acquisition specialist.All offers of employment are subject to background checks, including right to work, reference education and for some roles criminal, and financial checks.If you have any concerns, please reach out to our talent acquisition team to discuss******BR#LI-KS1#J-*****-Ljbffr
