Maintenace Manager

Become the Buildings and Maintenance Manager for this leading hospital group, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on the healthcare facilities in your region. As a key member of the Maintenance/Technical Services Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive technical, maintenance, and building services for the General Hospital and its satellite bases. This contract role will challenge you to deliver a quality-based, cost-effective, and efficient service that ensures the built environment meets all statutory regulations, healthcare standards, and industry best practices. Manage a diverse portfolio of building and equipment services, including HVAC systems, medical equipment, electrical infrastructure, and more. Lead a team of skilled professionals to maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency- Collaborate with project teams and contribute your expertise to the development of new healthcare facilities Professional Requirements: Proven experience in maintenance management, with a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and building systems Excellent team management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce Proficiency in financial management and budgeting, ensuring cost-effective service delivery Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment Adaptability and problem-solving skills to address a wide range of maintenance challenges Required Qualifications and Experience: Hold a third level qualification to a minimum standard of Higher Certificate (Quality and Qualifications Ireland [NFQ] Level 6) in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Services. Or Have successfully served a recognised apprenticeship of not less than four years and qualified as a Craftsman as recognised by the Irish Standards Authority ETB (Education and Training Board). Or Hold a qualification at least equivalent to (i) or (ii) above And Have 5 years satisfactory post qualification experience of maintaining industrial and domestic type buildings, 2 years of which should be in an acute healthcare facility Skills: Maintenance Management Project Management team leader Finance Electronics Benefits: 30 Days Holidays
