The Role
Tesco Ireland is seeking to appoint a Line Manager who will have responsibility for supporting and leading a department and a team to deliver the best shop for customers.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and coach your team to deliver the shopping trip for customers by ensuring great service, standards and availability
Deliver all key performance indicators for your department
Lead a team, making decisions daily to support them in their roles
Deliver the training plan, ensure all colleagues receive quality training, are validated to do their job and have an up-to-date training card
Ensure processes, routines and systems for your department are completed accurately and on time
Plan seasonal, trade-driving and promotional activities to maximise sales, impact and presentation
Be responsible for safe and legal routines for your department, with plans to address any issues
Ensure colleagues understand the importance of the "what" and the "how", with objectives, regular reviews, career discussions and a live PDP
Provide regular coaching and feedback across the store to improve team skills
Coach the team to address behavioural issues and improve the shopping trip for customers
Create an environment that encourages innovation and personal growth
Role model a culture where customers love to shop and colleagues love to work

You will be responsible for
Always put the customer first and consider them in everything you do
Get to know your customers and serve them with pride
Help ensure products and services are available for customers at all times
Handle all products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach the customer in the best condition
Keep the shop floor and back areas clean and tidy at all times
Follow department routines and processes using the training you receive
Follow all company policies and health and safety routines
You may be asked to support colleagues in other departments
You will need
Experience
Must have previous management experience
For the Line Manager role you have a demonstrated track record of delivering for customers and colleagues
Adaptable and agile in thinking
Delivering key objectives in a fast-paced environment
Being the 'Go To' person for your department
Shaping and influencing at senior levels
Previous retail experience preferred
Leadership Skills & Style
Build strong relationships with colleagues inside and outside the store; work collaboratively to deliver results
Warm and welcoming in interactions with colleagues and customers; value people and recognise others
Use energy and resilience to maintain momentum; make tough decisions while staying true to values
Inspire confidence in others, both in good times and challenging times
