My client, a leading Industrial Manufacturer based in West Cork, is in need of a Buyer to join their busy Supply Chain Department This is a great opportunity for a Buyer or Procurement Specialist to grow on their career in a growing multi-national organization which provides career progression and an opportunity to expand your purchasing experience. The duties for the Buyer include but are not limited to: Procurement of raw materials and packaging as required for customer orders Planning and controlling stock levels using ERP system Raising orders on ERP system and expediting delivery Maintaining supplier relations, negotiating contracts, prices, and timelines Maintaining accurate purchase records and related documentation Management & Control of all stock records to ensure accurate stock levels and accurate information for all Bills of Manufacture Take responsibility for all materials pricing and the maintenance of cost/prices in the ERP system Liaise with colleagues to assist in preparing product and project cost estimates Work with the team to improve existing purchasing systems and stock control processes The requirements for the desired Buyer include: Previous experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain role Previous experience in a manufacturing environment Strong IT system skills, previous experience with SAP desired but not essential Strong supplier relationship management, negotiation and decision making skills High level of attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger Supply Chain team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Hard working and reliable If you feel that you fulfil the above requirements please apply today with your CV.
