Role: Site EngineerLocation Base: Newmarket on Fergus Co.ClareSalary: CompetitiveMain Duties and Responsibilities:The main duties and responsibilities of the Site Engineer are outlined as follows:Ensure HSE & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to on-site.Be familiar with the HSQE management system and procedures in conjunction with the current statutory requirementsBe available and willing to provide coverage should the project manager be absent for any reason, assuming the role of managing the day-to-day operation of the siteNeed to be familiar with programme and budgets for the project, fully understanding the impact any overruns shall have on the projectReview and develop specifications and design drawings, have the ability to develop solutions to design based issues.Use of GPS, total station and 3D scanner for setting out and collection of As Built informationCompletion of technical reports and quality documentation, input to safety files and O&M and completion of monthly progress reportsEnsuring design, materials and workmanship is in line with the specified requirementsUtilising procurement software to ensure materials and subcontracts are ordered/ awarded as and when requiredLiaise with relevant consultants, subcontractors, site staff, commercial resources and the general site team involved in the projectCompletion of weekly whiteboard meetings on site, planning the efficient and safe delivery of worksDay to day interaction with the employer's representatives, stakeholders and members of the publicKeep appraised of the latest standards and technology through continuous professional development (CPD).Show an eagerness to learn and progress in your own career as well as the mentoring and training of more junior staff.Glanua has a proven track record of developing graduates from college through to director level within the organisationOther duties as required from time to time.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:The main knowledge, skills and experience required of the Site Engineer are outlined as follows:Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar role, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.Degree in Civil Engineering.Ability to work as part of a team in project delivery and provide input at team meetings.Ability to engage with suppliers and sub-contractors at procurement stage and in the delivery of their scope of supply during contract delivery.Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise during project delivery.Good working knowledge of MS packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and knowledge in the use of GPS, total station and CAD.Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation.Full driving licenceWhat we offer you:The opportunity to join an ambitious and growing organisation.Monday to Friday (39 hour working week).22 days annual leave plus 10 bank holidays.Competitive base salary.Company vehicle and fuel card.Access to EAP – ******** days confidential employee counselling service, free to avail for employees and their families.About GlanuaGlanua is an industry leader in providing innovative and sustainable engineering solutions to design, build, operate and maintain critical water and wastewater infrastructure across Ireland and the UK.We are a trusted provider to the municipal and industrial sector where our clients include Ireland and the UK's largest water utilities, Uisce Éireann (formally Irish Water), Thames Water, Yorkshire Water and Affinity Water.We have a talented team of 600+ people across Ireland and the UK and are rapidly expanding our workforce across several disciplines to meet our ambitious growth plans.LI-GG1
