LotusWorks is an Engineering Services provider specializing in managing Commissioning, Construction Services, Calibration, Operations & Maintenance scopes of work within global manufacturing facilities.LotusWorks operates globally across EMEA and North America partnering with the world's leading manufacturers across the Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical & Biologics, Medical Device and Data Centre sectors.Our team of Engineering and Technical professionals is immersed in cutting-edge technologies and innovations.LotusWorks is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, integral to our people-first approach.As a Lab Quality Technician working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the Medical Devices sector.This job is based in a cutting-edge facility in Galway, Ireland.This person will be responsible for ensuring that all testing/lab activities are carried out in line with customer requirements, to accurately collate tests results, complete necessary documentation and present findings to the team.Responsibilities:Manage and execute laboratory functions including research.Purchase required laboratory equipment and materials to serve R&D Laboratory requirements.Regularly maintains the lab to ensure it is in good working environment.Ensures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules.Collaborate and communicate with others especially with peers and engineers who request testing and support method development.Represent the lab with external stakeholders including physicians and clinical representatives.Completes testing as required for Projects, including feasibility, test method development and validations.Ensures all Datasheets/Documentation are completed and reviewed in a timely manner with an emphasis on Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Takes ownership of the lab area and actively request that customers use the lab as intended, following Good Lab Practices requirements (GLP).Provision of excellent service to all internal and external customers.Conducts themselves in a professional manner with an appreciation of our Behavioural Standards.Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills.Excellent attention to detail.Ensure all training is completed as per Laboratory Training Program and myLearning.Ensure training records are current and in compliance with applicable regulations.Ensures any issues are reported to the relevant Engineer(s).Complete verification of instruments and equipment where required.Maintain calibrated lab equipment and complete introduction of new lab equipment (Class A).Assist in development & writing of test methods.Responsible for maintaining clean and organised workspaces when conducting testing or any other lab activities.Communicates any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager/Supervisor.Perform and assist with additional duties as may be directed by the Supervisor.Maintains the lab area and ensures it is kept clean and organised.In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.Skills Required:Excellent technical capabilities, communication skills, teamwork abilities and initiative.Proven ability to work well both as part of a team but also able to work on own with minimum supervision.Prior experience required working as a technician in a test lab environmentExperience working with electrical medical devices advantageousExcellent attention to detailAbility to learn new tasks / processes and can work on own initiativeFlexible to take on new tasks based on customer needs and prioritizes work to meet required timelinesEducation / Licenses / Certifications:Minimum Level 6 Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or related field.Benefits:VHI Healthcare CoverLife AssurancePension ContributionTraining And Educational AssistanceAnnual GP Check-UpExtra Annual LeaveHealthcare ScreeningRecognition RewardsLI-DNPLotusWorks is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered.
