underwriting tools and serve as a subject matter expert in these tools.These tools are critical for bid pricing and rebate forecasting and are currently Excel-based.You will translate actuarial and underwriting logic into scalable, cloud-based applications with user-friendly front ends, working closely with underwriters, actuaries, technology, and analytics partners to ensure accuracy, between our Dublin or Letterkenny offices and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.Primary Responsibilities for the Senior Data AnalystSupport the redesign and migration of actuarial and pricing tools from Excel into Azure-based applicationsTranslate business and actuarial requirements into robust technical solutionsSupport the development of intuitive GUIs for underwriters and actuariesEnsure outputs are accurate, auditable, and aligned with business expectationsEstablish coding standards, testing frameworks, and technical documentationDesign, develop, and evaluate predictive and prescriptive models and advanced algorithms to identify trends and business opportunities leading to prototype developmentMentor junior developers and analysts, providing as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications and Skills for the Senior Data AnalystBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExperience in software development, data analytics, or financial/actuarial systemsProgramming proficiency in Python and SQL, or similar coding languagesExperience with financial modeling, actuarial systems, or insurance pricing toolsDemonstrated ability to partner with business stakeholders to capture requirementsPreferred Qualifications and Skills for the Senior Data AnalystExperience with Azure cloud services, APIs, and relational databasesExperience working in health informatics or within the healthcare industry or prior experience with Clinical, Claim, and/or Hospital Billing Data TypesExpertise in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power Apps, pysparkHands-on experience with GUI frameworks (React, .NET, or similar)Track record of migrating complex Excel-based tools into enterprise-ready applicationsFamiliarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and testing frameworksAbility to manage stakeholder expectations and balance technical and business needsSoft SkillsQuantitative mindset and ability to understand complex processesAbility to own solution delivery with strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skillsWorks effectively in cross-functional teams to achieve shared goalsApplies a detail-oriented approach to ensure data integrity and flawless executionComfortable managing large volumes of data from disparate sources, with the ability to ensure the accuracy
