R3's vision is a world where value moves freely, and business is done safely.Our mission is to enable an open, trusted, and enduring digital economy.We are a scale up with a startup's grit.We encourage a workforce where no idea is too small, and no two days are the same.At R3, you will be a Software Engineer with a product mindset, building platforms for today's world financial system.You'll be part of our multidisciplinary engineering team, where you will build end to end deployable distributed services, and work closely with Principal Engineer, Product managers, Solutions Architect, and Application Engineers.You will be building substantial enhancements as well as maintaining our Corda platform, that underpins diverse customer solutions.Corda is a DLT designed for running complex workflows between businesses, without any centralized points of control.You will work on a blockchain/DLT platform trusted by banks, insurance companies, stock exchanges, payments companies, and others – highly demanding industries with the interesting technical challenges that come with them, as we take these customers to the next level of performance, availability and manageability.We aim to have a fast, agile and automated product engineering philosophy that will provide safe andsecureexperience to our users.ResponsibilitiesDeliver the product and technical roadmap aligning to customer & stakeholder needs plus feedback and build trust with them.Ship changes to our platform within the first week by taking complete ownership around end-to-end quality and performance.Collaborate with fellow engineers within the team and organisation by developing technical plans and contributing to technical architecture with a scale to serve millions of users.Improve your team's performance by mentoring and guiding fellow engineers.This is your chance to be integral part of building a high performant team.Write Java/Kotlin code, which knits together with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) that forms the core of our platform.You will be responsible for independently delivering medium to large sized pieces of software to a production standard.Skills & QualificationsExcellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.5+ years of experience in software engineering role, preferably building a SaaS or Platform product.Experience collaborating effectively in a cross-disciplinary team setup interacting directly with Product Managers, Solutions Architect and Application Engineers.Depth of expertise in high level programming languages (Java/Kotlin/Python etc.) with hands on experience in managing infrastructure, containerization & deployments.Experience in developing Distributed Systems and Microapps/Microservices.Experience owning delivery of software increments, end to end by writing tests.Managing performance of the product adhering to Service Level Objectives by continuous testing and tracking key metrics.#J-*****-Ljbffr
