Overview
Software Engineer role at Microsoft.
Responsibilities
Design, development, testing, and DevOps of Teams services ensuring security, availability and performance.
Improve security of services by implementing secure communication protocols and design patterns.
Contribute to design documents and participate in code reviews.
Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with team members across the globe.
Ensure seamless and secure user journeys, owning the end-to-end experience from initial sign-in through advanced scenarios by setting quality standards and embedding security best practices.
Accelerate feature delivery and reliability, drive rapid, data-driven rollout of new capabilities while maintaining stability; define success metrics, monitor health, and iterate based on real-world feedback.
Cultivate cross-organizational collaboration; act as central advocate for third-party developers, aligning priorities and translating complex requirements into intuitive experiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience building and operating large-scale cloud services.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements (including Microsoft Cloud Background Check) upon hire/transfer and periodically thereafter.
