Our client, a well-established family-owned manufacturing company, is currently seeking a Company Accountant to join their Cavan based team. Reporting to the Managing Director and Group Finance Director, you will oversee the finance function and support the business development strategy. This role also presents significant growth opportunities as the company expands. Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day finance operations, including accounting functions and staff. Monitor gross margins and optimize sales mix. Oversee working capital management, focusing on inventory, credit, and cashflow. Implement cost control measures and lean principles to improve site efficiency. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial forecasts, providing recommendations. Manage cashflow, including monthly forecasts and debtor/creditor payments. Requirements: Qualified Accountant with ideally 3+ years PQE Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., SAGE 200 MRP). Strong knowledge of core accounting principles, reporting obligations, and statutory regulations. Commercial acumen and sound judgement.
