Roughan & O'Donovan (ROD) is looking to recruit senior structural design engineers with five to ten years' relevant experience for permanent positions within our expanding buildings team

You will be part of a buildings team recognised for delivering high quality, cost-effective and sustainable building projects across a range of sectors, including residential, healthcare, education and commercial.
We work with architects, developers, local authorities and property owners to develop robust, long-lasting building designs.
Our buildings achieve the top certifications within sustainable design, including LEED and BREEAM.

Essential
Honours degree in structural/civil engineering (Level 8 qualification in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
Five to ten years' relevant experience
Ability to work in a team and/or under own guidance
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Good organisational skills
Experience of mentoring junior engineering staff in all aspects of design
Good understanding of ethical issues in engineering design, including safety
Chartered or working towards chartered status with a recognised professional body
Full driving licence
Fluent/highly proficient in spoken and written English
Desirable
Structural design experience in accordance with the Eurocodes for concrete, steel, masonry, timber and foundations
Knowledge/experience of BIM/Revit/Robot
Knowledge of AutoCAD
Experience of building regulations and technical guidance documents
