OverviewPurpose of the role:My client is committed to achieving zero harm, this role will be instrumental in achieving this by working with the HSE Business Partner to directly influence our safety culture.As a company Health and Safety Manager, this role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health and safety systems across modular construction sites.This role ensures full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, company standards, and industry best practices while fostering a proactive safety culture throughout all phases of project delivery from pre- site commencement, transportation and site installation.The role requires regular travel between multiple project sites and Portakabin depots across the region or country.ResponsibilitiesEngaging in a positive health and safety culture where prevention is paramount and we strive for recognition as industry leader in Health Safety and Environmental best practice.Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans aligned with company and client requirements.Conduct frequent visits to multiple project sites to monitor compliance and provide hands-on support to project teamsAdapt HSE strategies to site-specific challenges and changing project phases.Ensure full compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, Construction Regulations 2013, and all other relevant Irish legislation.Maintain and review risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and COSHH assessments.Get involved in the design and implementation of HSE improvement programs and initiatives.Ensure safe lifting operations and transportation of modular units by overseeing and managing the Health and Safety processes of project installation of varies modular buildings.Assess risks specific to modular construction such as confined spaces, working at height, and mobile plant.Conduct regular audits, site inspections, and behavioural safety observations.Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, lead root cause analyses and corrective actions.Lead toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and engagement initiatives.Act as the key contact for external audits, contractor engagement and client based HSE meetings on project sites.Competencies, Skills, QualificationsDeciding & Initiating ActionWorking with PeopleAdhering to Principles & ValuesTechnically confident and up to date Presenting & Communicating Information with industry best practicesWriting & ReportingPlanning & OrganisingExperience implementing ISO 45001 management systems- desirableTechnically confident and up to date with industry best practices- desirableLevel 7 or higher qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalentMember of IOSHFull clean Irish/EU driving licence and willingness to travel across multiple sitesOccupational First Aid and/or Mental Health First Aid qualification- desirableMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry (modular/offsite experience strongly preferred)Experience undertaking Health and Safety auditsExperience of team working as well as being self-motivatedData analysis, particularly identification of trendsClear communicator with excellent interpersonal and training skillsHave experience of working to improve Safety culture- desirableIf you are interested in, please contact me at ******#J-18808-Ljbffr
