South Connacht Citizens Information Service invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals for appointment as a member of its board of directors.
The Citizens Information Service
Citizens Information Services (CIS) are companies that provide information, advice and advocacy to members of the public in relation to their rights and entitlements.
Services are provided on a drop-in basis, via phone, letter/email, or other channels.
There in a network of Citizens Information Centres and outreach locations right across Ireland.
For more information please see: Connacht Citizens Information Service (SCCIS) is a regional company with responsibility for service delivery in the counties of Galway, Mayo and Roscommon .
Our serviced are delivered through a network of eleven local centres.
The company is governed by a voluntary board of directors.
Role
SCCIS is seeking to recruit four individuals to join our board, which is made up of committed and experienced volunteers from across the voluntary, community and public sectors.
The board plays an important role as the governing authority for the organisation.
We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience in the following areas:
Service Management Corporate Governance Information Technology Risk Management Law
