Job description: As Maintenance Planner you will be responsible for scheduling and planning all planned tasks for our manufacturing maintenance team. Key objective of this role is to ensure efficient work management is achieved to execute all planned maintenance tasks. Department Description As Maintenance Planner you will be joining an organisation where people of all backgrounds and experiences are respected, and where we work together focused on changing lives. In this role you will be reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Lead. Your Responsibilities In this role, you will schedule all Planned PM / CM tasks and ensure required spare parts, related permits, P&IDs, lock out plans and instructions are available, and instructions are prepared in advance. Adjust and monitor as required in pursuit of seamless work execution and efficient use of maintenance technician time. The Maintenance Planner will work closely with the manufacturing scheduler to agree maintenance opportunities on equipment / systems. The individual will process all work requests generated within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Assist in site start up and project related activities, building technical knowledge on equipment, detailing maintenance tasks associated spare parts. Assist in vendor management as part of start-up installations with view to building relationships for scheduling vendor tasks and spares enquiries. Contribute to knowledge build/ management of department as we build knowledge and skills required toexecute planned tasks right first time. Participate in key site projects as part of our operational readiness plans. Responsible for scheduling and planning the safe accomplishment of daily activities within the maintenance department, as per required dates whilst following all statutory, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate site and department practices and procedures. Build and manage a continual feedback loop to optimise / improve accuracy in planning and technician utilisation, monitoring inaccuracies in spare parts / instruction / time allocated and lock out plans etc. Work closely with manufacturing schedulers to ensure timely and seamless execution of maintenance tasks. Support reliability programme, by providing insight from PM execution and feedback loop and assist inroot cause identification and preventative plans. Own department work management using, becoming department SME on system. Build equipment vendor relationships, support planning vendor service and breakdown visits, spare part queries, service contract execution and management. Support and actively participate in lean initiatives TPM, Operator Care, PdM, PMO, Work Management optimisation. Support and develop opportunities to build knowledge management and sharing through identification of equipment training gaps and potential solutions. Arrange and organize any specialized tools or support such as scaffolding, SME resource etc. required to execute tasks. Develop, record and report department KPIs such as overdue work order count, planning time accuracy, tech utilisation, and turn back analysis. Present key takeaways and associated actions from trend analysis. Generate and maintain backlog tasks to ensure utilisation maximised in case of cancelled/postponed planned tasks. Participating in Cross-Functional teams, as necessary. Develop processes and procedures and complete periodic review for associated procedures. Support and participate in site audit programme. Identify and manage equipment training gaps and requirements. Perform all duties in accordance with GMP requirements, SOPs, and controlled documents. Will be flexible to take on additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of the Manufacturing Maintenance Lead. WuXi corporate core values and PROUD culture. Your Profile The ideal candidate for this position, will have the following: Education Trade qualified, or Diploma/Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline is preferable. Knowledge/Experience Experience with Maximo or similar is preferred. Experience within a large-scale biopharmaceutical facility in a similar role is ideal. Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) is required. Personal skills Excellent focus and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills including computer literacy, proficiency in excel distinct advantage. Ability to work independently and in a team.
