The Opportunity
RTÉ is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief People Officer to continue to drive transformation across the organisation through innovative HR Practices.
Reporting into the Director General of RTÉ, and as a key member of the RTE Leadership Team, the Chief People Officer influences business strategy and fosters a high-performance culture.
Their responsibilities include:
Act as a strategic advisor to the Leadership Team on all people-related matters.
Lead HR transformation initiatives aligned with RTÉ's strategic goals.
Partner with senior leadership to shape and execute strategic workforce planning.
Maintain strong relationships with trade unions and employee representatives.
Champion a values-driven culture that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
RTÉ welcome applications from candidates who possess:
At least 10 years in a senior leadership role in a complex, significantly sized organisation.
Appreciation of complex employee relations environments with unionised colleagues.
Proven track record of successful HR strategy implementation and change management, analysis, and reporting.
Proven commercial acumen and linking HR strategy to business strategies
Understanding of compensation, benefits, and employee engagement.
Ability to influence and challenge others at all levels in an organisation.
Effective at developing and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
