The Maintenance Technician will carry out production, plant, lab and facility maintenance activities.
This role will also require the maintenance technician to take part in process development of new products & processes, production troubleshooting, process validation and equipment validation, as deemed necessary.
Responsibilities include:
Carry out maintenance activities.
Develop Maintenance Procedures in conjunction with the process engineer or process engineering manager.
Comply with procedures as defined by plant SOPs.
Participate in equipment and facility validations, as necessary.
Contribute to development of engineering systems through continuous improvement.
Key cGMP Responsibilities
Maintain the lab, plant, and production equipment to the required standards.
Maintain the engineering systems in a compliant manner.
Document activities as described above in the required manner.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures during maintenance activities.
Follow Gowning Procedures and entry rules for all manufacturing and controlled areas.
Understand and follow Personal Hygiene Rules as defined in GMP training and notify supervision of health conditions affecting product quality.
Participate in GMP and operational training programs, completing records accurately and timely.
Keep work areas clean and tidy.
Requirements
Recognized mechanical qualification (e.g., National Craft Certificate)
Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of PLC and pneumatics systems.
Strong electro-mechanical background and knowledge of automated systems.
