HV electricianCompany: EnersolSince ****, Enersol Engineering Ltd. has established itself as one of the leading businesses in the sector, specialising in High, Medium, and Low Voltage Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution Systems across Ireland and Europe.We offer complete turnkey distribution network design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance services to our clients in the electrical substation, data centre, and pharmaceutical industries.Over the past 20 years, we have delivered projects for Irish and multinational clients across Europe and Africa, and we are currently expanding significantly, delivering large-scale projects across Ireland, the U.K., and mainland Europe.In response to this continued expansion, Enersol Engineering Ltd. is now actively seeking to hire a European Director of Projects.This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader to contribute to our growth by delivering high-value, complex projects.Role Profile:We are seeking an experiencedHigh Voltage (HV) Electricianto join our team.The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and testing of high-voltage electrical systems (typically 10kV–110kV), ensuring compliance with national standards and company safety procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair high-voltage (HV) electrical systems and equipment.Perform HV jointing, termination, and cable installation work (up to 110kV).Conduct testing and commissioning of HV substations, switchgear, and transformers.Carry out fault diagnosis, isolation, and repair of HV electrical faults.Assist with the preparation of switching schedules and safety documentation.Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and project managers to ensure work is completed on time and to specification.Ensure compliance with ESB Networks standards, Safe Electric (RECI) regulations, and company HSEQ policies.Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and site audits.Provide technical support and mentoring to apprentices or junior electricians.Qualifications & ExperienceFully qualified electrician (QQI Level 6 or equivalent).Minimum 5+ years' experienceworking with HV systems.Experience with HV switchgear, protection systems, and cable jointing/terminations (XLPE, PILC).ValidSafe PassandManual Handlingcertifications.HV Jointing & Termination Certification(ESB-approved) desirable.Experience withHV switching operationsandpermit-to-work systemsan advantage.Strong understanding of theETCI Wiring Regulationsand relevant safety standards.Full clean driving licence.Personal AttributesStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication and documentation skills.Willingness to travel to various project sites across Ireland.BenefitsCompetitive salary (DOE).Overtime and travel allowance.Company vehicle and tools provided.Pension and healthcare options.Opportunities for further training and career advancement.Top of Form
