Are you fascinated by the world of automation, engineering and mechanical systems?Do you enjoy trouble-shooting, working with your hands and engaging with people?Would you like to be paid while you train?If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to develop accredited skills in Service Engineering for automated doors and loading bay equipment.The skills and experience developed in this sector are in high demand worldwide, and will provide successful applicants with opportunities across Ireland and the world.The Role:As a Trainee Service Engineer, you will be part of our dynamic team of experts, learning and developing the skills required to excel in the field of automated door and loading bay equipment.This comprehensive traineeship program will provide you with hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and practical skills needed to become a proficient engineer in the automated door industry.During the traineeship you will develop the skills and competencies to undertaking these key responsibilities:Assist senior engineers in the installation, routine maintenance, fault finding and repair of automated door systems.Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, identifying appropriate solutions with a sound understanding of drive systems, electricity, switching technology, machinery safety and risk assessment.Gain proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.Collaborate with team members and customers to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to optimize system performance.Stay updated with industry advancements and emerging technologies in automated door and loading bay equipment.Location:Across the Connaught region.Person Requirements:Leaving Certificate with minimum O5 in Math's, English and ideally have completed at least one of the following subjects: Physics, Construction Studies, Technology, Engineering, DCG or Applied Maths.Strong interest in automation, engineering, electrical and / or mechanical systems.Basic understanding of electrical circuits and wiring.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.Effective verbal and written communication skills (fluent English is essential).Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.Job Type: ApprenticeshipPay: €*****-€***** per hourBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany eventsFood allowanceOn-site parkingSick payLanguage:English fluently (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: On the roadReference ID: TSE24
