At Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon, the Product Engineer ensures excellence by monitoring repair documentation, maintaining product quality, and driving continuous improvements that keep our operations efficient, reliable, and cost-effective.
Responsibilities
Ensure product compliance by reviewing ESM/RD documents, updating work instructions, and auditing repair processes.
Maintain product quality through CTQ metrics, best practices, TPM checks, problem investigations, and reporting non-conformances.
Drive process improvements to reduce repair costs and scrap rates, obtain approvals, implement changes, and monitor savings.
Identify and implement TAT reduction initiatives, tracking progress against targets.
Provide technical support to Team, Production, Commercial, and Quality; issue inspection reports and release certificates.
Perform other duties as directed by the Engineering Manager.
Qualifications
Degree in Production, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex, multi-disciplinary processes.
Structured approach to defining and qualifying process stability.
Knowledge of material science and LTTS processes an advantage.
Competent communication and report writing skills.
Minimum 3 years' experience in production or process engineering.
Project management experience an advantage; results-oriented and able to work independently.
Flexibility to provide technical support outside normal hours.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
Experience with process improvement, quality metrics, and compliance standards.
Proactive mindset to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
