Role Overview -Senior Software Engineer (Contract) Location: Dublin – Hybrid role (Minimum 2 days office based)
This role is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team to refactor existing software products and development processes and tooling and to create state-of-the-art CI/CD pipelines for a portfolio of SaaS and On-premise software products.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take ownership of requirements and work in a team to evaluate, design and implement solutions.
You will assist the team with requirements and technology choices.
This role is offered on an independent contractor or fixed-term employee, for an initial period of 6 to 12 months, project dependant.
Classification will be determined based on the degree of control, autonomy, and nature of deliverables, in accordance with Irish employment law.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end technical solutions across a range of technologies.Proactively identify problems and drive the definition and implementation of effective solutions.Translate business and technical requirements into clear, scalable solutions and accurate work estimates.Balance strategic thinking with pragmatic, tactical decision-making to ensure high-quality design outcomes.Key requirements: Minimum 7 years as a software developer.Significant experience with CI/CD pipelines and development lifecycles for SaaS and On-premise products.Excellent verbal and written communication (English).Computer science, engineering or other related degree.Mandatory experience: LinuxExperience with at least one of these languages:C++, Java, RustPython, BashGit, JenkinsCompetent in most of the following technologies: Kubernetes, DockerAWS, VMWareTerraform, AnsibleRobot Framework or PyTestUseful additional requirements: Experience with Kafka, Kafka Streams, Elasticsearch, Redis, Prometheus, Kibana, SQL/RDBMSTelecoms signalling protocols: Diameter, SS7, GTP-C, SIPTelecoms messaging: SMS, SMPP, MMSAbout Enea We are a world-leading specialist in advanced telecom and cybersecurity software with a vision to make the world's communications safer and more efficient.
