Senior Software Engineer in TestDuration: Initial 12 MonthsLocation:Galway, Hybrid, 1 week p/m onsiteRate:Up to €390/dayAre you passionate about building high-quality, automated testing solutions that drive world-class digital experiences?Join aleading financial services organisationin Galway and help shape the future of their Institutional and Retirement platforms — where innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence meet.As aSenior Software Engineer in Test, you'll work at the intersection of backend, cloud, and front-end systems, helping teams deliver faster, safer, and smarter.You'll be hands-on with modern testing frameworks likeCypressandPlaywright(TypeScript) andKarateandSelenium(Java).While the organisation is migrating toward a full TypeScript stack, both skill sets are valuable — but if you're stronger in TypeScript, even betterWhat You'll DoLead QA automation efforts across multiple systems and services.Design, build, and execute functional and regression test suites that keep quality at the forefront.Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and analysts to define acceptance criteria and improve release readiness.Contribute to development of minor features in UI or Mid-Tier components.Champion Agile, CI/CD, and automation-first delivery practices.What You Bring5+ years in software quality engineering or test automation.Experience with frameworks likeCypress, Playwright, Karate, Selenium, Cucumber, RestAssured, or TestNG.Proficiency inTypeScriptorJava(TypeScript preferred).Solid understanding ofRESTful APIs, Jenkins, AWS, and modern delivery pipelines.A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and passion for clean, efficient automation.
