Production Coffee Roaster

This is quite a unique position and opportunity for someone seeking a full time position as our Production Roaster at our Roastery in Kilcullen.The primary role is working together with our Head Roaster to keep the Roastery operating smoothly and includes jobs such as production roasting, sample roasting, setting up cuppings, operating our colour sorter, labelling and bagging coffee, roaster and machine maintenance and cleaning, stock preparation and organisation etc.The right candidate needs to have genuine interest in coffee, needs to share our environmental values, have strong attention to detail, good attitude and desire to learn.We are looking out for people who are technically minded, efficient with their time and have very good communication skills.Someone who would like to grow with our business and add value.The right candidate needs to have a way to commute, may be required to train our wholesale customers, some barista work and generally help build customer relationships.This may involve travelling out to visit our wholesale customers.High quality Speciality coffee experience or expertise is preferred.This ideally would include roasting experience, speciality coffee experience which involved dialling-in coffee (e.g. understands how to increase or decrease things such as acidity of a coffee when brewing).Please submit your CV and Cover letter.The main working days for this role at the Roastery at the moment is Monday - Thursday.You may be asked to work at our cafes as a barista the odd time, but it is not the primary role here.Work remotelyNoJob Types: Full-time, ContractContract length: 12 monthsPay: €*****-€***** per hourExpected hours: No less than 30 per weekBenefits:Company eventsEmployee discountStore discountApplication question(s):Will you commute to Kilcullen, Co.Kildare for this job?Why are you interested in working for us?Do you know how to dial-in coffee?(e.g. how to find the best version of a coffee by altering the dose, yield etc)Experience:HACCP: 1 year (preferred)Food safety: 1 year (required)Speciality Coffee: 1 year (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
