We're on a mission to make money work for everyone.We're waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking.With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customersWe're not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo ??Senior Finance Business Partner – European Finance TeamThe Finance team is growing and we are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the European finance team covering our Personal and Business Banking commercial businesses.You will work in a team that manages the P&L and Balance Sheet to deliver the financial plan, helps the business to make strategic financial decisions, challenges to improve performance, and owns the end-to-end financials and financial controls for your business area.ResponsibilitiesSingle point of contact between the business and finance.End-to-end ownership of the P&L, balance sheet, funding and capital for the business area.Build trusted relationships with the business leadership team.Drive and optimise commercial performance through deep engagement in product/customer strategy, pricing, scenario analysis and performance analytical insights.Hold the business leadership accountable for forecast performance and help them course correct.Lead on bottom-up forecasts, short and long range, supporting the planning and stress-testing cycle.Work with Treasury to inform customer behavioural analysis and with Financial Control on specific accounting judgement determination.Responsible for product level pricing model framework and ensure pricing is in line with finance performance hurdles.Understand and explain actual performance analysing variances to plan and creating an appropriate narrative.Support the development of IFRS9 modelling for Europe lending and work closely with UK colleagues.Contribute to the overall Monzo equity story.Support the build of a highly competent and motivated team of financial analysts with clear objectives for ongoing development to partner with existing and new businesses.Lead business partnering for specific area and help represent the company's commercial dynamics to the wider team.QualificationsDemonstrable experience in financial business partnering.Qualified with a relevant professional qualification.Strong financial modelling experience (advanced Excel/Google Sheets).Great analytical & problem solving skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend actions.Experience in balance sheet management, capital, funding and liquidity requirements for planning and reporting.Good interpersonal & influencing skills, able to engage across internal functions to develop, get buy-in and deliver outcomes across teams.Ability to confidently present data in a meaningful and effective way; understanding the needs of the end users and tailoring presentations to their requirements.Experience building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Experience building business cases, presenting and debating investment choices.Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, able to support with developing new processes and streamlining existing processes to create efficiencies.Benefits• Hybrid working model – based in our Dublin office 2-3 days a week.• Flexible working hours – work enough hours to do your job well, at times that suit you and your team.• Annual leave – 34 days including public holidays (24 holiday days + 10 public holidays).• €1,200 learning budget each year for books, training courses and conferences.• Pension scheme – minimum contribution 4% with Monzo matching any additional contributions up to a maximum of 6%.• Wellbeing benefits – financial education, women's and men's health support, mental health benefits, coaching and counselling.Equal OpportunitiesWe are an equal opportunity employer.All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin or veteran, neurodiversity or disability status.If you have a preferred name, please use it to apply.We don't need full or birth names at application stage.#J-*****-Ljbffr
