Main Purpose of Role: We have a requirement for a Senior Water & Wastewater Process Engineer to lead and manage the process design of water and wastewater engineering solutions and proposals for our clients in Ireland and the UK.
Role Duties: Work within a multidisciplinary Process Engineering team to provide process design solutions in all areas of water and wastewater treatment, predominantly for Irish Water and UK Water Authorities.Prepare and oversee preliminary and detailed design documents, engineering specifications, and perform calculations supporting water process engineering activities.Complete optioneering reports, pre- and post-project completion documentation in accordance with company standards.Evaluate and assess hydraulic designs with detailed knowledge and experience of treatment processes.Coordinate and schedule the work of a team of Project Engineers of varying experience levels to ensure tender delivery and project process treatment design.Maintain daily communications with other engineering departments, electrical, mechanical engineering drawing, controls, and automation to ensure the development and provision of turnkey water/wastewater treatment solutions.Review supplier information to ensure compliance with project requirements.Ensure compliance with all company safety, environmental, and quality systems.Support business development activities by demonstrating quality assurance and competence of the water/wastewater process design team.Develop and maintain communications with key decision-makers within the company and client base to identify engineering opportunities for company development.General: Participate in and promote the Murphy Never Harm Programme.Undertake any reasonable duties expected of you.Carry out all work in accordance with health and safety and other legal requirements.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Manage the performance of all employees assigned to you in accordance with legislation and company procedures.Attend and fully engage in learning and development activities as deemed appropriate by your line management.Participate and fully engage in company appraisal/performance review processes and work to improve individual, team, and wider group performance.Qualifications & Skills: A qualified engineer in environmental, chemical, or process engineering, or equivalent, with 10 years' experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment.Strong data analysis and technical problem-solving capabilities.A self-motivated team leader capable of participating in a leadership role with the ability to manage workload to deliver on time, cost, and quality objectives.Capable of assessing complex engineering problems and utilizing proprietary software packages to deliver engineering solutions.Ability to connect and develop relationships with team leaders and operational management within the company and contribute to strategy development and business planning.Good organization and time management skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.What Murphy Offers in Return: Competitive salary and benefits.Discretionary annual bonus and annual salary review.Above-market rate contributory pension scheme available from day one.27 days annual leave per annum.Generous private healthcare allowance.Dedicated and continued investment in your professional development.Other Murphy benefits include retail discounts, cycle to work scheme, etc.Note: Murphy is unable to employ anyone who does not have the legal right to live and work in Ireland.
