Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support a short-term, high-impact project involving the migration of virtualized environments.
The successful candidate will lead the implementation and migration of the customer's existing VMware-based infrastructure to a Hyper-V environment hyper-converged infrastructure.
This is a hands-on engineering role, requiring in-depth technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and system migration best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and implement the migration of virtual machines from VMware to Hyper-V, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
* Deploy hyper-converged servers and configure the Hyper-V environment.
* Conduct comprehensive testing and validation post-migration to ensure system stability and performance.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process.
* Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
* Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation and migration procedures.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and system migration.
* Proven expertise in VMware and Hyper-V, including experience with live migrations, storage migrations, and environment reconfiguration.
* Solid understanding of server platforms or other hyper-converged infrastructure is a strong advantage.
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve technical issues independently.
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
