If so, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced communications professional to lead communications in Ireland.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive AWS's communications strategy in Ireland, shaping narratives that showcase AWS's innovation and impact across the country.
You will develop and execute comprehensive PR programs, craft engaging content, and manage complex communications challenges with high judgment.
Excellent writing skills and extensive experience working with media, influencers, and opinion formers in Ireland are essential.
This position is based in Dublin, Ireland, with periodic travel required.
The role is within the AWS UK and Ireland Communications team.
Key job responsibilities
Create and deliver proactive, creative, and integrated PR programs and strategies
Manage relationships with trade, business, national, and regional media (print, online, broadcast), influencers, and opinion leaders
Handle complex, fast-moving communications challenges with high judgment
Craft compelling content, messaging, and communication plans
Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners
Lead PR programs for AWS-owned and industry events
Manage PR agencies
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in professional communications or public relations
Strong media relationships with top-tier business, technology, and regional press
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex topics effectively
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
PR experience in the technology industry
Strategic thinking with strong attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proven track record of proactive media story placement
Knowledge of the Irish media and political landscape
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with senior leaders
Experience managing complex projects under tight deadlines
Passion for technology and its opportunities
