Overview
Senior Software Engineer, Gemini Models, Site Reliability Engineer.
This role focuses on running Large Language Model (LLM) and non-LLM models in production for Google Gemini and AI Studio.
Responsibilities
Manage availability and performance by measuring the entire system and developing automated solutions to improve it.
Scale systems sustainably through automation and changes that improve reliability and velocity.
Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
Participate in the full life-cycle of services from inception and design through deployment, operation and refinement.
Participate in on-call incident response.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
3 years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
2 years of experience leading projects and providing technical leadership.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Experience in LLM/Machine Learning tooling and infrastructure.
Experience in one or more of the following: C++, Java, Python, or Go.

This role is a rotation focused on running LLM and non-LLM models in production for Google Gemini and AI Studio, delivering AI advancements to end users.
Behind the scenes, the Technical Infrastructure team maintains the architecture that powers Google's products, from data centers to the next generation of platforms.
We strive to keep networks up and running for the best user experience.
Responsibilities include managing availability and performance, scaling systems through automation, conducting blameless postmortems, and involved in the full service lifecycle.
